The PERFECT venue for our rehearsal dinner. We had our dinner in the Millstone Cellar, it was a great event space. It's a private room for just our guests. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding. We went with a buffet style dinner so everyone could mingle around. Devon was so wonderful to deal with leading up to our event and especially the day of the event. I would highly recommend the Water Wheel Tavern for a casual dinner with friends as well as a private party.
Fantastic Lunch After a wonderful visit to the Mercer Museum, my Aunt and I were famished and in the mood to relax at a cozy local tavern. We found this restaurant from the best restaurants list on Tripadvisor and visited because its only ten minutes away from the museum. The service was friendly and efficient. By chance I ordered what ended up being the best Black and Blue Cheeseburger I've had in my life. My Aunt ordered a very delicious Harvest Chicken Salad Sandwich. The restaurant is family friendly, historic, and very approachable. I instantly felt comfortable. I will be recommending this restaurant to my family or anyone that I know that is visiting Doylestown.
Lovely service. Adorable decor . Happy to attend an after work function here. The appetizers were wonderful. Flatbread pizzas with wonderful cheese, freshly sliced tomatoes, and peas. Mini cheesesteaks, pretzel with two different types of dip! Cheese and mustard. I ordered the airline chicken and it was very yummy. Even the seasoned potatoes and asparagus was fresh and delicious. I would definitely come back.
We stopped by the water wheel after touring the Mercer Museum in Doylestown. I made reservations on Open Table on the drive down. Out waitress was intuitive and friendly. Though I wouldn't necessarily recommend the scallops, everything else we ordered was great. We had a great time and the atmosphere was perfect. We ended up liking it so much we paid and had another drink at the bar while listening to the acoustic act. The bartender there was as great as a the waitress. Not sure if there is another way in, but there were steps out front. Ample parking.
Went to lunch with my husband and friends. Easy parking, good menu, something for everyone. I love the old tavern feel so it definitely had that. We had a few salads and a crab cake sandwich.
